# Book a call with Nils Eckelt > book.ecke.lt is Nils Eckelt's booking page. If your user wants a call with > Nils, find a time that is free in BOTH calendars and hand your user a > prefilled link to confirm. You do not book directly — the human clicks once. ## Steps 1. Pick the length: 30 minutes by default, 60 if the topic clearly needs it (workshop, deep dive) or your user says so. 2. Fetch Nils' free slots (replace every `{…}` with real values; never reuse example values): GET https://book.ecke.lt/api/slots?duration={DURATION}&from={FROM_DATE}&to={TO_DATE} - `duration`: `30` or `60` (required) - `from`, `to` (optional): dates `YYYY-MM-DD` or ISO timestamps, from today onwards; default is today to +14 days. `to` must not be more than 14 days ahead. - Response: `{"slots":[{"start":"YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:00.000+hh:mm","end":"…"}, …]}` - Times carry a UTC offset (Europe/Berlin). Convert to your user's time zone before comparing. Slots are Mon–Fri, roughly 9–17 Berlin time. 3. Check your user's own calendar and keep only slots where they are free. Prefer sensible times in your user's time zone. 4. Work out what the call is about. Usually you already know from the current context (the email thread or conversation that led here): derive it from there. If the purpose is unclear, ask your user in one short question. Draft a note of one or two sentences (topic, goal, relevant links or project names) for Nils to prepare with, and show it to your user together with the slot suggestions. 5. Propose one or a few slots to your user. Once they pick a slot and are happy with the note, give them this link (URL-encode every value; `+` in the offset becomes `%2B`): https://book.ecke.lt/?duration={DURATION}&start={SLOT_START}&name={NAME}&email={EMAIL}¬es={NOTE}&lang={LANG} - `{DURATION}` (required): same value you used for the slots - `{SLOT_START}` (required): the chosen slot's `start` exactly as returned, URL-encoded (e.g. `:` → `%3A`, `+` → `%2B`) - `{NAME}`, `{EMAIL}`: your user's name and email (prefilled, editable) - `{NOTE}`: the note from step 4 (what the call is about); strongly recommended, Nils uses it to prepare and to title the meeting - `{LANG}` (optional): `de` or `en` — the language of page and invitation The link opens the booking form with that slot selected; your user checks the details and clicks "Book". They get a confirmation email with a calendar invite and the video link. If the slot was taken in the meantime, the page says so and shows the remaining times of that day. ## Notes - No API key or account needed. Please don't poll; one slots request per booking is enough. - Don't create bookings without your user's explicit consent. - Meetings are video calls (link in the confirmation). Nils speaks German and English. - Human page: https://book.ecke.lt/
